For the second year, applications are invited for the Global Talent Young India Award, which seeks to encourage a global outlook and recognise holistic achievements among Indian youth.
One of the three Connect India Awards offered by Bournemouth University (BU), the Global Talent Young India Award aims to promote internationalisation and develop Indian talent for the global world.
The Award has prize money totalling £1,000 attached to it. Three prizes are offered in this category on the basis of a poster submission on the theme Education in 2050: my vision. The winner will receive vouchers worth £500, the 1st runner-up vouchers for £300, and the 2nd runner-up for £200.
Six candidates will be shortlisted for the Award. All shortlisted candidates will receive a Certificate of Merit.
The recipients will be announced at a ceremonial event on the evening of 16 February, 2018 at the British Council, New Delhi, as part of BU’s Festival of Learning India 2018.

- Entries are open to school students in India aged 14 and above (Classes 9, 10, 11 and 12). Please read the competition rules before you submit your entry.
Candidates wanting to be considered should submit the following (please use the form at the bottom of this page):
- A poster (print-ready PDF or image) on the theme Education in 2050: my vision. It should be created by the student and present the student’s vision of what education would look like in the future (2050 and beyond). Students may focus on one or more aspects, and may take an international, national, or a local perspective. Submissions may be (but are not limited to) futuristic visualisations of classrooms, ways of learning, teaching, technology, assessments… We encourage all concepts that fit the given theme, but please note only individual submissions will be accepted.
- A concept note (100-200 words expanding on the idea presented).
- A CV of not more than two A4 sides. Please present your curricular and extra-curricular achievements/participations. As part of your CV, please provide the contact details of two people who can provide references for you. We reserve the right to contact them during the application process.
The deadline to receive completed applications is now 8 February, 2018, 12 noon (IST). This is the extended deadline.
